Kid's Costumes - Fun For The Kiddies

Some of the best party costumes are designed for children. They are the best people to design costumes for as they are usually the most game for any kind of dress-up. As children naturally love to imagine that they are somebody or something else other than themselves, their costumes are extremely varied.
If there was ever an occasion or event where grown-ups are a little too shy to wear costumes at, it would be seasonal parties, with Christmas and New Year the exception to the rule. Those two seasons are probably every adult's favorite parties to dress up for. Easter, on the other hand, being a more religious celebration is where adults tend to get a little conservative about.
Now this rule applies not to children, and Thank Heaven for that, as for them Easter is just another day when they dress special. Easter bunny costumes are very popular among kids and they can be found in all possible colours and sizes. The bunny costumes may come in any one of the following forms:
- Simple white rabbits are traditional. The bunnies are simple white for Easter and may or may not have a carrot in hand.
- Contemporary versions consist of more modern and modified bunnies. They are surely bunnies, but can be found in unconventional colours and designs. Some may come dressed in suits or other costumes - a costume within a costume situation.
Some other variations of the Easter bunny outfit could be close mimics of familiar rabbit-like figures. One of those is, naturally, the Bugs Bunny costume. The "What's Up, Doc" character is unmistakable with carrot and buck teeth in a traditional grey and white ensemble.
The Easter Bunny costumes are also available for infants and toddlers. These are specially aimed to pleasure these simple souls and are hence quite simple in design - bunny ears, a bunny-skin like furry coat with shoes having bunny ears just about completes the ensemble.
Less familiar bunny combos come with a bunny nose and teeth. These are largely modified versions that could be dressed as a circus ringleader, magician, sailor and even don a doctor's coat and stethoscope. While they usually form a big part of kid's costumes, these bunny-looking outfits are also available in adult sizes.
The adult bunny costumes can be bought for both men and women. Men have large sized costumes with a hood, typical bunny ears and a bobtail. The fabric used is soft cotton on the outside to match the rabbit's fur. The costumes cover every inch of the wearer's body including the fingers - which become the bunny's paw and feet. The inside of the costume is made as easy to breathe in as possible. The wearer, however, may still find it uncomfortable if he wears it for too long.
The women, on the other hand, rarely have bunny outfits that really resemble rabbits and real bunnies. Bunny costumes for women are usually flirty affairs - comprising a bustier with fake bunny ears on a headband - and worn at adult parties. Sometimes, they come in a two-piece outfit; a bra top and mini skirt or hot pants. As these costumes are usually worn for evening events, they are often made of some shiny material or decorated in glitter and cotton wool. They are also available in different colors, although black, white and pink are hot favorites.
The good thing about the bunny attire is that they are also available in sets - which means both adult and child can be dressed in matching Easter bunny costumes. Often, these are very cute combos in matching colors and styles. For the comfort of the child wearing the costume, the faces are often uncovered so these outfits are often accessorized with bunny noses.
Babies and up to four year olds would find the zipped up bunny costumes more comfortable and easy. They can wear them easily and take them off with ease, too, apart from giving mommies the ease during toilet sessions. Loose costumes are good as they are more comfortable.
Co-ordinated adult and child garments are a great idea as then they can have all the fun together. Another advantage is that the guardian can keep an eye on the child without managing to make the child feel that his freedom is curtailed in any way.
