Do cartoons leave only negative effect in the minds of the children?

Why do we always think that cartoons leave a negative effect in the innocent minds of the tiny toddlers? Everything has a story on the other side of the coin and so the story of cartoons also does have. Even if children watch cartoon most of the time in television then parents should instruct them what things to highlight more. Cartoon is not a new concept.
The concept of cartoon was started around 1499. Earlier, cartoons were mostly used for newspapers for political issues. The political cartoons were also used for the movement of independence in colonial America. The cartoons were mostly put in the newspapers to provide a inner theme for the rising revolutionary spirit.Now cartoons are found more in video format.
Print cartoons are less preferred by the people and especially the children.
